ឆ្នេរដ៏ស្រស់ស្អាតបំផុតនៅក្នុងប្រទេសអេស្ប៉ាញមិនមែន Costa Brava ទេ។

One of the most stunning beaches in the world is in Spain.
It comes with the best bird watching in Spain and is on the Atlantic Coast.

Forget crowded beaches in Spain. The most stunning beach in Spain is also one of the best beaches in the world. It comes with the best bird watching imaginable, and it costs only EURO 22 to get there.

The beach is actually on the lesser know Atlantic Coast north of the Portuguese Border on the Iberian Half Island.

When thinking about beaches in Spain, many would think of Costa Brava, parties, music, and one of the best entertainment in Europe.

This is very different in Playa de Rodas, Spain.

While sailing the Spanish Atlantic Coast, you won’t want to miss Playa de Rodas, considered by experts to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The Islas Cíes, or Cíes Islands, is a stunning archipelago only reachable by boat and home to one of the biggest seagull colonies in Europe.

This is with no doubt one of the best beaches in northern Spain. It usually comes in the top 10 in most rankings. The beach of Rodas is located on the island Cies, a group of paradise-like islands that are protected due to their flora and fauna. This is one of the best areas in Spain to enjoy bird-watching.

Playa de Rodas is a slightly curved beach about 700 meters long on the Spanish Cies Islands, which is now a national park. The British newspaper, Guardian បាន, chose it as the most beautiful beach in the world in 2007.

Three islands, none of which is larger than 3km in length (about the width of Manhattan at its widest), and a few small islets overlook the Bay of Vigo and the Atlantic Ocean. They feature deep cliffs, stunning sunsets, and incomparable beaches. The longest beach, Playa de Rodas, connects the two biggest islands – Faro and Monteagudo – via a sandy isthmus.

In addition to Figueras and Rodas—which feature clear, cold water, white sand, and all the warmth of the sun, there are seven other sand beaches all over the islands and islets, even one that is designated for nudists. The longest beach, Rodas, has a length of 1,200 meters, or around three-quarters of a mile, making it prime beach walking territory.

The best way to get to Islas Cies and this beach is from Vigo, from where daily trips depart to the Cies Islands. The amount of tourists that can make it to the island every day is limited.

The Islas Cies and the island of Rodas are amongst the best places to enjoy bird-watching in Spain. Relaxing on the beach and enjoying the color of the sea and the birds is a great way to spend a day! The main species you will be able to enjoy are yellow seagulls and cormorants. From the beach, up to 4 hiking trails can be followed and you will find posts from where you will be able to enjoy bird watching.

There are private boat charters to the island, but a round trip on a ferry is only EURO 22.00
